Writing at the speed of light… literally

In today’s NY Times, there was a story about a guy named Philip Parker who has written 200,000 different books. While I’m used to hearing about people with a few thousand, maybe even a million websites auto generated, this takes it all to another level. He put together some computer programs and algorithms to do internet research and compile a 150 or so page book in about 12 minutes. I’m sure he also has it set up to throw in an ISBN number and submit it to Amazon. His best seller has only sold a few hundred copies, but with 200,000 titles, this guy must be making a nice living.

Some of the books are on extreme niche business topics, but sell for $150. Even a lower priced book makes a profit with the first sale. While so many internet marketers have been trying to figure out how to put some extra content on their site to attract people to buy their 1 book, this guy has taken similar methods to create a mountain of products that will actually sell.
